MyPlaylist - Another cool gadget from Claymind!

posted Mar 5, 2010 10:38 AM by Claymind Interactive   [ updated Jan 22, 2012 10:20 PM by Guillermo Misa ]

Here's another google gadget we created called MyPlaylist. It's very easy to use.  All you need to do is enter a MySpace vanity name and you get that user's playlists.  You can play each playlist using the MySpace music player.  It would be cool to know what other people are listening to especially the artists themselves.  Listen to your friends' playlists as well as your own.  Enjoy!

A cool new gadget in town: MySpace Music Top Songs

posted Feb 27, 2010 12:57 PM by Claymind Interactive   [ updated Jan 22, 2012 9:39 AM by Guillermo Misa ]

We built a google gadget so you can listen to songs that are hot on MySpace Music.  The cool thing is that you don't only see top charts in the United States but in other countries as well.  You simply select a genre and a country and a list of top 10 songs display before you.  Click the play button on the music player and the song starts playing.  You can install the gadget on your iGoogle homepage or even embed it on your own website if you wish.  Below is the actual gadget embedded on this page.

Claymind chooses Google Sites for creating static Personal Websites

posted Feb 27, 2010 12:24 PM by Claymind Interactive   [ updated Feb 28, 2010 4:56 AM ]

We have been looking at various platforms for hosting static personal websites and we found that Google Sites is perfect.  First of all, the Standard Edition is free.  Second, since it's from Google, it allows you to add Google modules to your pages.  It may only have 100MB storage but you can embed your videos and photos from YouTube and Picasa as modules and they look pretty neat.  Third, you can use your own domain name with it which makes it look more professional.  With regard to javascript and css, adding custom style and script tags into the pages are not allowed so customization on look and feel is kind of limited but still the pre-defined templates and themes are awesome.

Static websites are basically web pages that aren't database driven so if you need to display data from your own database (such as an online store), then we will have to host your website on an application server which will have a monthly hosting fee.  By the way, this website you're looking at is powered by Google Sites.
